Happy Memorial Day!

Today was Memorial Day! I love America and am very thankful for our liberty and freedom. We have so much to be thankful for. Last night at church we had a missionary from Hatti that spoke. He really made us stop and think about all the many blessings that we have here in America. He told us that back in Hatti he shares a bathroom with his next door neighbor and his living room is a wooden bench under a tree in the front yard. I am so thankful for the many blessings that God has bestowed upon me and my family. --God bless America--

We spent the day just taking it easy. My sister-in-law Sarah and her kids came down. The kids went swimming while daddy grilled out. We ate lunch at our house because mom & dad's a/c wasn't working. (They got it fixed though. The repair man came this evening and got them cooled off).

It looks like everyone was taking it easy except for daddy. A farmer's work is never done!

Graduation Party

Sunday we celebrated my cousin Logan's high school graduation with a luncheon at
Aunt Barbara's home.

Although it was Logan's special day you can see who stole the spot light -- MADELYN!

Carole and "Little Miss Maddy"

Lane, Brett, Keaton & Tyler taking a time out from their football game long enough to pose for the camera.

Carole looks like she is having fun washing dishes!

Hello CCA classmates! This has been a fun year in 3rd grade! Can you believe that next week is our last week of school before summer break?

I am excited and ready for summer. Let me know what you will be doing over the summer vacation. I hope to hear from you.

Mother's Day

"Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain:
but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised."
Prov. 31:30
I am so thankful for the godly influence these wonderful women had in my life.
Both my grandmothers have already made heaven their home. I can't wait to see them again one day.

I had a very nice Mother's Day. Keaton and Tony gave me a new Vera Bradley purse (Seaside Collection - Skipper Tote) and a beach towel to match. I can't wait until June when we go to the beach to use my towel. I used my new purse this morning.

Thanks to the 2 wonderful men in my life!

Since my mom's birthday is May 14th, I fixed lunch for her today and we combined Mother's Day and her birthday. Aunt Betty came up and had lunch with us also. I bought a home-made Strawberry Pie from Shoneys for dessert. It was so good! Wished I could share a piece with you, but sorry there's not any left.

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers!

I'm so thankful that God blessed me with the gift of motherhood.

Happy Mother's Day to my mother-in-law

Happy Mother's Day to my mother-in-law-- Sandra!

Saturday evening we went to Sarah's house for an early Mother's Day.

Sarah and I cooked supper--grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage, baked beans, salad and Oreo cookie pie for dessert.

We missed you Emily--sorry you had to work!

Saving Cans

Keaton would like a say a big
THANK YOU
to everyone who has been helping him save aluminum cans.
This is the load that Keaton's poppa just took off.
The trailer was full and running over.
He had 160 lbs of cans.
He made over $100 of which he will get to spend some of it.
Some of it will be saved and $30 was given as tithe to Children's Church.

Special thanks to these who have helped save cans:
Bro. & Sis. Ingram (keep drinking those diet Dr. Peppers), Mr. Butch & Mrs. Brenda, Aunt Sherry,
Sarah, Mr. Mike & Mrs. Lisa, Friends at Cedar Hills, The Beardens in Selma.
(This looks like a scene right out of the Beverly Hillbillies!)

Teacher Appreciation Week!

Keaton & Mrs. Pam

GOD MADE TEACHERS
Author Unknown
God understood our thirst for knowledge, and our need to be led by someone wiser;
He needed a heart of compassion, of encouragement, and patience;
Someone who would accept the challenge regardless of the opposition;
Someone who could see potential and believe in the best in others . . . So He made Teachers

Thank you Mrs. Pam for making this a fun year in 3rd grade!
~Happy Teacher Appreciation Week~
